It was a beautiful day for this hike! We hit the trail a little late, and were slightly worried about the heat, but it ended up being pretty pleasant with the breeze and shade along the way to the summit. Volcan Mountain is one of our favorite hikes in the county, and today definitely didn't disappoint. There were still a few varieties of wildflowers blooming and we only encountered a few other groups of hikers out there (possibly because it was a warm day). And as is our usual tradition, we ended the day with beers at the Cooler and a burger at Colt's in Wynola on our way out of town.
