The beginning of this trail was the most crowded of any trail I've done. I guess everyone was looking to get an early (6am) start. The scenery was beautiful up to the saddle, where we took a break and fueled up for the 2nd half of the hike. This is where the trail diverges so the next section was not as crowded, as not everyone was headed to Cucamonga Peak. The sun was getting higher and the trail was more exposed, so it was hot as we hiked toward the peak. It was also a lot more rocky, so we took our time over the uneven terrain. The payoff on this trail was big; I loved the view of Rancho Cucamonga from the mountain above, as I looked down and tried to find my house.
