Beautiful day at Volcan Mountain. I took the Five Oaks Trail on the way up and the other trail on the way down. Five Oaks was much more scenic. No bugs. No sightings of any wildlife that day. I only ran into 2 people in the trail. Had the place to myself . Stopped to take lots of pictures since this was my first time there, including some at the Hubbell gateway and rock compass. I would go back again. Especially like seeing the Salton Sea from the summit!
