First hike of the 6 peak challenge was surprisingly better then expected from a conditioning stand point. I was also a bit worried about some old injuries so I didn't know what to expect. The hike went well. Having done this hike a few times I knew not to underestimate the wind that was in the forecast at the summit so I was prepared for the cold. It was cold (upper 30's) but there were a few brave hikers dressed in shorts that seemed to bear the cold weather well. It was a great day even with the higher then normal traffic heading down devils backbone.
