Welp, the snow was definitely different from last time of 90-100 degree weather. But I do like the cold since it’s easier to warm up than to cool down on the Devil’s backbone. Going through the backbone didn’t feel as bad as it did last time, but it was still a climb to get up the final stretch to the top afterwards. I’m glad I packed a down jacket for this since I’m usually stripping out of it as soon as I get out the car. The nice perk I packed this top was a stove and hot chocolate for the top. YUM! However the dinosaur didn’t feel like coming out and preferred the comfort of staying inside the pack. Coming back through the backbone was shrouded in clouds and chilly with the wind. Once back at the ski lifts we decided to take advantage of the lifts and road them back down.
