Mt Diablo Pre-4th Hike

This hike is tougher than the southern hike to the peak.  The path through Eagle Peak is a challenge.  It’s rocky in parts which makes it more difficult when you’re going down.  The trail narrows at Bald Ridge Trail so it’s challenging in a different way.  The 7 miles to get to the summit took longer than expected.  Quite busy on the trails and especially at the summit.  The route back to the parking lot is a simple fire road.  Not steep, but no shade either in the afternoon.  Overall, a challenging hike.
