Beautify drive from CT to the foothills of Mount Mansfield. Arrived at about 1pm after a 4 hour car ride. Hiked Sunset Ridge up to Cantilever Rock. Then pushed for the summit. It always looks closer than it really is. Clear day and hot on the exposed rocks. Love the tundra zone. We took the long trail across the ridge line. Best part of the hike IMO. Decent was brutal as our legs and feet were tired. Total was 6 mile in 6 hours. Pizza and beer was well deserved afterwards… Cheers!
