Steep ascent, long descent, lots of rocks and a mailbox (or two)

We went up the old trail and came down the new trail. It was a bit easy to get off trail on the way up, but easy to find it again as long as the general direction was up. There were a few biting flies once we were above timberline, so I’d recommend some bug repellent. Amazing panoramic views today. We started early (6:40), and the trails were still pretty busy, so bring a mask.
