Icehouse Canyon is one of the coolest hikes around here in my opinion. The weather was lovely. We started around 9am on a cool, cloudy morning, and the clouds opened up in the afternoon. I felt GREAT on this hike, and this may have been partly because I had hiked Icehouse before but not all the way to Cucamonga Peak.
You're probably wondering about the phone, though, aren't you? Well about 3/4 of the way up, my group stopped to take a selfie. When my friend stepped forward with his phone in his hand, he tripped on a rock and his phone went FLYING out of his hand. Our more experienced friend went down to rescue it, which was a little scary.
We also saw a rattlesnake on the way up.
AND my other friend got stung by a bumblebee at the peak.
In the end, we all survived.
Views at the top were awesome.
