Summiting St. Helena (with Wine)

I did this hike with my parents. It was an incredibly cold day and, had there been any precipitation, it would have fallen as snow. It was a bit foggy at times, but the views between the clouds were amazing. The trail is mostly exposed–so it’s probably best to avoid trying to get to the top of this mountain on a hot summer day–and the main parking lot fills up early on the weekends. Highly recommend following the hike with a trip to Chateau Montelena at the base of the mountain–not only for the clean restrooms, but also the wine. Plus, you get an awesome view of the mountain from the parking lot!
