A little late in logging this hike but here it goes; Started out at Maker flats on a dreary, drizzling day. As we got higher above the clouds it turned into a beautiful day. Started out with a group of 8 but ended up finishing with a group of 3. The concept of “No Man left behind” was irrelevant on this day. Me and two others were taking our time from the incline and beauty which caused us to get behind; and our group of 8 became a group of 3. Needless to say the 5 “Blue Falcon (BF)” awardee's (A.K.A. BUDDY FUCKERS) got an ear full on Monday at work. (YES THEY LEFT US COMPLETELY). You know who your friends truly are…….

Anyways, the lack of preparation for this hike and the steep terrain going up the baldy bowl trail vice the devils backbone was not a good combination. I will tell you if I ever here someone tell me “ONLY 1 MORE MILE” I'm going to freak out. LOL

My two friends kept it real and were comical all the way up. Had me rolling with laughter every time we got over a hill around a turn, and still wasn't at the top to hear Kevin (Hale) screaming: “you gotta be F'ing kidding me, where is the top?” Constantly throwing himself on the ground like a little kid that had been punished. PRICELESS! I really enjoyed the comradery and the scenery. I will never forget it. Looking forward to being out with these guys again (even the Blue Falcon's) for San Jacinta's peak.
