The first two and a half miles were steep and it was very humid. It is during this slow grind that the bugs are at their worst. Then a steady up with intermittent flatter parts until you reach the final mile and a half. Switchbacks and steep this final part is topped off by bouldering to the top. Great view, even with the fires across the way.
