This trail has it all. The off and on exposure during the reluctant start climbing up in elevation the first couple miles, and breathtaking views and terrain changes at each junction. From the PCT juction on, it becomes a dense wooded wonderland with lush patches where stream beds were a couple months ago in spring. The trail evens out for longer stretches here and  its just a gorgeous stroll under a canopy of pines and gives you a chance to catch your breath before the next climb. The first reliable water crossing for pumping was at about 6.7 miles, and I was down to about 3/4 liter from 3. Even though I'm a hippo with water, pack accordingly. I would have been pushing it to arrive at camp without water. From here on adds some rocky points which even turn into bouldering further up. Around 7 miles the stream crossings become more frequent and grow in size. Little round valley is spectacular. Your camp sites are so far down each path you'll never have to bump into another person. We camped overnight and woke up at 430 to get ready for an early summit. The streambed is right in front of the trailcamp sign so we pumped water, took advantage of having a pit toilet at camp. I did this as a solo buddy system hikes, so I had a partner on the mountain going at her own pace and we checked in on eachother and set up meeting spots at junctions. It was so beautiful and i cant wait to come back in early spring.
