El Cajon

Wow, definitely a knee jarring hike.  Elevation up, down, up, down, up, down etc…but a beautiful day. I had the summit all to myself-was so beautiful and quite peaceful.  Only a handful of us on the trail on a weekday. Definitely started early, 6:25am-could have started an hour earlier though. Was perfect-first six miles starting out, sun rising, in the shade-the way back was hot and the trail still has a lot of going back up-going back…glad I was prepared and I took the advice from friends-I brought plenty of water and electrolytes.  I used them all!
