Piestewa Peak

My partner and I hit the trail around 6:15am and surprisingly, we had plenty of company. As we neared the summit, we could hear the sound of a beating drum. We had heard that on the weekends, a gentleman plays a drum at sunrise.

When we finally made it to the top, we were able to see a Native American man beautifully playing one single drum. When he was finished, he then proceeded to play a flute. We felt so grateful for having witnessed such a beautiful experience.
