What an adventure getting back into it after a break from hiking with the wildfires. Wanted to bag this peak for a long time and it was a pretty hike! We drove through a cute ski town quite a distance from San Diego, but worth the drive. We got a great workout going up and down several times from peak 1 to 2…we did Mt pinos and sawmill mountain. It was exciting to see the snow and great hiking temperatures. Not too many people out, but friendly people for the ones we passed. we had the peak to ourselves. The trail was wide. The views are beautiful and you experience a bit of altitude almost at 9k feet which makes it challenging when going up and down but accomplishing feeling after.
