Talked my wife into joining me on this trip. It was not a hard hike at all except for the last scramble up the peak which while obvious is a bit of a straight up climb up a ridge. The views from the top were okay but not spectacular and the peak itself didn't feel special. The trail just seemed long, dry and tedious. Good to do the hike to say I have done it but didn't really enjoy it much. Then discovered that my wife had been eaten alive by bug and had lots of bites that she reacted badly to. I didn't see any bugs myself and had no bites so not sure how she ended up with so many but she was hiking behind me so maybe I was stirring them up for her to get bitten behind me.
