Beautiful SoCal winter with high 50’s at 5:30am. Couldn’t ask for better weather. We tried to be at the peak at sunrise but took a wrong turn as I was following google maps (rookie mistake) and the sign at the beginning of the major ascend was down. We put it back up so others won’t make the same mistake. Last mile was rough as we had to climb a little over a thousand feet. For some reason, there was lots of people when we were coming down. Is everyone doing the challenge? ???? Go early and pack light. Trekking pole helps during the ascend and descend around the peaks.
