We got there early so we didn’t see a soul on our way up.  The weather was perfect.  Sunny but not too hot.  It was a gradual incline until you start to ascend to peak.  It definitely gets steeper but nothing unmanageable and only lasts about .5 miles.  We had the peak to ourselves which was such a nice bonus.  Definitely got busier on our way back.  The gravelly dirt is slippery on the way down from the peak.  I was glad to have my poles for that but overall the terrain was great.   The views were stunning.  I’m glad I got to do this peak.   I was bummed that the candy store was closed on Mondays.
