First things first – the parking lot for the King Canyon Trailhead is closed for construction but we parked at the museum parking lot and walked across the road to the trailhead.

We started this one at 10:28am and finished at 2pm. This was such a beautiful trail, my favorite so far from the AZ 2021 6POP. Keep an eye out for some purple and blue rock along the lower part of the trail. This trail was very easy to follow but also extremely rocky. The view from the top is amazing, too bad we didn't get a chance to stay there longer as there was a winter storm brewing, we even got some hail on the way down!

On the way back, we took the King Canyon Wash Trail, same length and they run side by side but you are hiking in the wash so it offered a different perspective of the trail. My trail recording is accessible at the link below.
