Arrived shortly after 9:30am and besides the occasional gust of wind, it was an incredible day. My spouse, dog, and I had a rough first mile with an intense elevation climb. After settling in and getting our feet under us, we had a blast enjoying the sunshine, spots of snow — 50% ice — and the occasional journey into Narnia (spots of tree/greenery coverage). Thoroughly enjoyed the views all the way to Mt San Jacinto all the way up to summit. Plenty of space on the top to enjoy the views, and we were able to find the marker that had been overgrown slightly indicating the actual summit. If you hike to the picnic table at the top, you will see a concrete “step” and with some effort getting through the overgrown limbs you can see get to the actual summit — picture included of the marker in the rock at the summit. Loved this hike, and look forward to many more!
