When we arrived at Manker Campground at 7, the parking lot was almost packed. Saw a lot of hikers in full gear (ice axe, helmet and crampons) and some had snow skis which made us wonder whether we were prepared or not. The trail to the top of the notch was mostly covered with snow. When we got to the ski resort, we stayed on the hiking trail away from the ski lanes. Watch out for skiers/snowboarders when crossing lanes, they come down fast.  Some parts of the trail were up to knee deep in snow. The infamous Devil's Backbone looks majestic in fully covered snow. There were a couple of big hiking group at the summit who did the Ski Hut Trail. On our way down we decided to stop at the Ski Resort to grab some food but ended up just getting soda because we could not justify paying $18 for a burger 🙁 .
