El Capitan Trail is no joke. 5.37 miles each way, 4000’ vertical and 42% slope. It’s literally uphill each way. This is hike is difficult. We met up with many people of all ages going up and down. Bring more water than you think you need. Maxed out my 2.5l pack with water and it was still not enough being conservative. Ran out with about 2 miles togo.
We had a great time and if it wasn’t for my legs and knees locking up coming down the mountian we would have made down quikcr. Super proud of my wife she blazed up and down, we did it babe!
