This hike was BEAUTIFUL!  I wasn't expecting 90% of the trail to be covered in snow, so I wore trail runners and highly regretted it only a mile into the hike. On the descent I slipped on the slushy snow and my left hand landed right into a yucca plant. Those needles are SHARP and gave me some decent stab wounds in my palm, ouch! I feel like this hike could have taken an hour less to complete without the snow, but completely worth it for the snowcapped mountain views.
