1st of 6 for my challange. This was definitely closer to 11 miles than the 10 it suggested. Lots of people at the top, so bring a mask! We went after rain during the week, so beautiful skies, but some mud and puddles along the trail; nothing terrible, but you had to watch your step a few places. If this is supposed to be one of the easier trails, then I have a bit of training to do before I tackle the harder ones, lol. There is a very steep incline the last mile to get to the peak, but otherwise a steady incline most of the way. If you need an adventure pass, the candy store sells them. Take a look inside and support the locals! Weather was mild, in the 50s. I can't imagine doing this trail in the summer, since there isn't a whole lot of shade. We arrived around 9 and parking was already insane, so I recommend going early. Overall, great start to my challenge journey, looking forward to number 2!
