Started hiking at 10:30 am from the Ohlone College Parking Garage. It was a steady uphill climb to the top of the summit with only the last 1/2 mile being truly strenuous mainly due to rain causing erosion on the trail as well as having to traverse a rocky trail. It took me about 2 hours to get to the top and 1 hour to get back to the car with about 7 to 8 miles of hiking clocked in. Weather was perfect for hiking allowing me to hike in shorts and just a long sleeve shirt except for when I got close to the summit when the wind picked up and the wind breaker came out. I'm really glad I got out on the trail now because the hills were a beautiful green.
