Arrived at the trail head around 9am and began the hike up the paved fire road near campsite 69.  The entire road is steep and paved all the way to the top.  There was some ice on the road closer to the too but easily navigable with out micro-spikes.   Took the Conejos Trail down, which was a lovely hike through the forest.  The melting snow made for a wet and muddy hike down the trail until the connection at Azalea Springs Fire Road.  Weather was in the hi40/50’ and extremely windy for most of the hike up.
