Sawmill Mountain with Grouse Mountain and Mount Pinos for the 3-2-1 Challenge. Nice, clear day for the hike. The strong pine scent between Sawmill and Grouse is awesome.
Lots of snow and ice but not as much as the week after November’s first storm. However unlike November, the footprints today across the snow are often unclear or incorrect. It was windy here yesterday which probably covered some paths. Nevertheless, I generally know where these trails are and I used my tracking app to fill in the gaps. If you are not familiar with these trails, please consider using an app or printed maps.
