We managed to make it to the top in decent time. This hike has only two drawbacks. First is parking. Parking is insane and we were there at 8:15 am. Parking added another mile each way for me. The other annoyance is there is lots of gravel and rocks. While I have hike a lot in rocks the gravel is annoying because it is easy to slip. Make sure you wear good shoes. I saw many people in tennis shoes and some were sliding all over the place. S&R had to pick up one person and it looked like a broken or severely sprained ankle.
