So others may not agree with my ‘ratings' of this hike, but I was actually surprised by the amount of snow/slope and the difficulty in recognizing the switchbacks.

Wished I had eaten more before starting this climb. My group of three took frequent mini breaks, had some snacks and drank lots of water on the way up. I really wished I had poles and at times my crampons. We slipped at times and found ourselves in snow up to our knees and occasional thigh. It was stressful for me.

The pines were gorgeous and the views beautiful. The peak was amazing with beautiful views of snowcapped mountains and the weather was perfect! I am still trying to master layering correctly so I am not over loading my pack.

We took nearly an hour at the summit to relax, take some photos, refuel and gear ourselves up for what we knew lied ahead getting back down the trail. It was beautiful but glad this one is done!
