Beautifully maintained trail with a gradual climb to the top. There was a pleasant green canopy for most of the journey, but was not enough for us to keep our layers on for long. The weather was clear with temps in the high 50s/60s (perfection). We arrived early, around 7:40am, which allowed for easy parking at the trailhead and minimal people on the trail. Clean bathrooms at the bottom and top of this hike are a bonus. Our hike started just above the cloud cover, so the views along the way appeared to be as if you were looking at a giant lake of clouds- it was breathtaking! Around 90% of hikers were wearing a mask (at least pulling one up as you passed by) and everyone we encountered had a friendly “hello”. Since cars can drive to the top, there were more visitors taking in the view than just hikers, but it wasn’t crowded at this time of day
All in all, this is a gorgeous hike with a rewarding view from the top, I will definitely repeat the trek one day!
