Started hike at 9am.  Initially it was going to be just a 3 hour hike.  But after going 2 hours and seeing how close the tower was, we decided to push on hard.

The challenge for us was that we all had to make it back to our individual homes for Superbowl Parties with friends and families.   The pressure was on.  We hiked 14.3 miles in 4 hours and 45 minutes.   Macedo Ranch Staging Area (from what I can tell) starts at an Elevation of  669.   And Mt. Diablo is an elevation of 3849.  So we hiked 3,180 elevation climb.  Perfect weather, trail conditions were dry.  Lots of sunny and shade.  Many people were out on this hike from all sides.  And everyone was happy and smiling!
