We hiked Sawmill starting from the Mount Pinos trail. The weather was probably in the 40s with a wind chill, but once you start moving it warmed up. I recommend printing turn by turn directions since the trail isn't well marked to sawmill; they helped us a lot. Pretty moderate trail, but the switchbacks on the way back were a little challenging towards the end. Beautiful trail with clear skies! The altitude hit us a little but with breaks it was manageable.
