I had previously hike San Jacinto via the tram so we thought, “never been to idyllwild, let's go that way”. It was long! When we reached the summit it was packed. Didn't stay long and when it came time to leave we actually debated taking the tram down and ubering back to our car. We didn't. It was a faster decent and we knew pizza and beer were waiting for us.
