This was my third peak in a week so I didn't feel bad agreeing to take the ski lift up to the lodge. (Plus I had hiked to the lodge in the past so, been there, done that). It was still a grueling hike in the heat. The backbone was stunning and less intimidating than I imagined but when the winds picked up I could see how it could be dangerous (obviously snow and lack of light would intimidate me more so).
Peak was crowded. I'm not huge on crowded peaks but it also may have been my favorite views (Sam Jacinto close 2nd).
