This is the second time I have tried this peak, last year I was able to do it pretty easily. This year I had trouble but I think it’s because this is my first altitude hike of the year. I had some cramping that slowed me down but I was able to reach the summit and enjoy the views above the clouds. I was also able to meet another hiker (Rioshike) that I follow on Instagram who has inspired me. The weather was beautiful, the trail was clear except for a small 50 foot section of ice but I did not have to use my micro spikes.
