Woke up to rain and drove to the trailhead. Saw wild horses on the way. No snow on the road going up, got to the trailhead no prob. Small piles of snow here and there. Easy going until the mine, once you cross the little bridge, more snow. At least 5 ft deep in some areas. Was pretty wet from the morning rain and from Recent warmer weather. Snow shoes were only slight helpful. Phone died before the top so no summit photo which I’m super bummed about. Next time I’ll wait a couple more weeks so I don’t have to deal with the snow. But since I came from Eugene I had to git r done. My waterproof hiking shoes and jeans were soaked up to my knees by the time I got to the top. Took a long time. Probably about 2 hours at least to get up. It was mushy snow fo sho.
