Hiked with a dog

Intended to walk up Tam from Stinson Beach.  Again.  Dog said no and barricaded the door to the garage.  He is still mad about getting left out of Diablo.

Me: state parks still don’t allow dogs and mt tam is a state park

Jake the dog:  summit isn’t

Me: but hiking from Stinson Beach passes through the park

Jake: so hike from Alpine Lake.  I love Cataract Falls.

Me:  Alpine lake is 650′.  That’s cheating.

Jake: so we tack on inspiration point and Collier spring, maybe even lagunitas lake.

Me: Collier spring trail sucks, steep and slippery and have to scramble up/down one part

Jake: I spend all day every day on all fours.  Can’t scramble 2 minutes?

Me: Fine, but you carry your own water.

Jake:  Hello? This is Marin County watershed with creeks and springs.  Pack extra snacks.  And the peanut butter.  I’ll carry the peanut butter.

Me:  then I won’t get any peanut butter.

Jake: Sounds like another YOU problem.
