Wound up being a bit longer than expected – clocked in at 13.2 miles, with about 4,200 ft gain, according to my all trails stats.  Amazing views of Baldy on the higher switchbacks!  Icehouse canyon is beautiful!  Streams and little waterfalls, old stone ruins.  Once you hit the saddle (also a beautiful area), you can go to several different trails.  Cucamonga is somewhat tough.  Mostly exposed and the trail gets narrow with steep drop-offs to one side, with loose slippery rocks.  Gets a bit technical at times.  Watch your footing.  The peak is a nice large spread out area with trees and big rocks, a nice place to take a break – you can also camp here.  Epic hike.
