Arrived at ice house canyon parking lot at 6am and lot was already full! Was able to find a parking spot and headed out on trail. 2 hours up to the ice house saddle for a short snack break, and continued on to Cucamonga. Weather was absolutely perfect, with 72 degrees out and a light wind. We made it to Cucamonga peak, had lunch and continued on to Etiwanda peak for an added bonus. In total 15.6 miles!
Cucamonga is a tough but very rewarding peak, and is one of the most beautiful views you can get down here in SoCal. Bring lots of water and electrolytes (3L water at least), lots of snacks to refuel for a long day, hat/sunscreen and hiking poles are greatly recommended for the slippery rocky descend.
