via South fork trailhead to dry lake.
we started out at 7:30am with heavy loaded backpacks for an overnight camp, got up to dry lake and found a campsite around 11:30 and had some lunch as we set up our tents. There was still water in dry lake but is getting low due to a low rainfall winter season. We set out to refill our packs with water at lodgepole spring and headed out to summit San gorgonio peak around 1pm. After a rough 4 hours of feeling altitude sickness and lots of breaks, we reached summit with wind gusts up to 40mph. It was freezing cold so we snapped a few pics and rushed down to the switchbacks for a break from the wind. After 2 hours we reached camp right as it started getting dark out. It was a cold and windy night but we slept like a rock after doing 20miles in one day!
