This trail was cray. It took us all day. I was sore for a week after. It really helped me push my limits though. All of them lol. We started around 9a and I was at my car around 5p, when it got dark early in January. I remember when I finally got to my car all I could think of was ramen. I was in survival mode.
This trail is amazing for conditioning. When we got up near the top there was a lot of fire repellant from all the crazy wildfires in 2020. I'm happy I was still able to hike up Mt. Wilson after so much destruction from the fires. It was incredibly incline and I had to keep pushing myself all the way up. There was snow towards the top of the mountain, so hiking got slushy for a bit. I saw bikers on the road up near the top as well. This was my first hike when it got dark so I learned the importance of a headlamp. Parking was a bit of a challenge to find but if you keep searching there is something on the street that will open up.
