So Glad I brought extra layers for this hike! It had rained the evening before and there was snow and it was quite chilly for this SoCal Girl, but I was prepared for the elements and felt great on the hike- even did it with just 4 hours of sleep!

Parking was a breeze making it a quick walk to the trailhead. I was very fortunate to have an experienced Baldy hiker in my small group making me feel safe and we’ll taken care of the entire time.

Took a quick potty break at the green hut and then made it to the peak with ease. Took a few pictures and then had a celebratory toast of coffee and Kahlúa, inhaled a egg salad sandwich and then headed down.

The descend was almost as hard as the Climb. Loose dirt, rocks and very steep, but we did it without any injuries, just a few slips. Total moving time for us was 4 1/2 hours????????
