We left town at 3:30am. Parked at Icehouse Canyon TH, filled out the Cucamonga Wilderness Permit, and with our 23-pound pack on our back, started walking at 6am. We each carried 5liters of fluid. It was a steady incline and reached Icehouse Saddle at 8:50. We rested and snacked then started walking again. More uphill then downhill, then brutal uphill about 1.5miles to the summit. We reached the top at 11am. The views of the clouds are just wow wow wow!!! We were literally above the sea of clouds!

So at the peak, we ate, admired the scenery,  took photos. We drank ginger beer too to celebrate ????.  Stayed 1-1/2 hours at the summit. It was windy and cold by the way. Then, we started our descent at 12:45pm. The downhill is equally brutal. Took us 5hours to get to the top and same amount of time to get back down. It was foggy and misty during the last 2miles. Beautiful!

Our feet were hurting at the end of the trail but it's all worth it. This is the most rewarding and most beautiful among the 6 peaks that we have done so far. We clocked in 14miles- the longest and hardest day hike I have ever done!
