We left chantry flats at 630pm , making good time we arrived in spruce campground at roughly 820,
We made some dinner , stocked up on water ( filtered from the creek ) and we took back off on the trail around 945pm.
Arriving In Sturtevant camp was extremely spooky , no lights , no people , spooky.
Taking the fork right to head up mt.wilson , we began what was an unfamiliar trek for my group , 3miles to the peak , wow , it took us until 3am to reach the peak, but was it worth the struggle.
It was a blood moon so we were delighted with the full moon and mars , (picture was taken at 230am)
Arriving at the top , we setup a small camp to grab some sleep , woke up at dawn and we continued thru the observatory onto cosmic cafe , and began our descent , finishing at roughly 2pm . What an experience !
