Our first take on the six pack of peaks challenge. We started at 06:30, it was very cold, it was all our first time to do a long hike with a higher elevation. We feel excited, scared and pumped up.

The trail is well maintained and it was a very nice hike into the nature surrounded by a lot of trees. It took us 11 hours + because of all the rest stop we had and of course we got lost a little bit. We are slow hikers but the important thing is we finished it and it was a rewarding accomplishment. There were 6 of us in the group (all family members). We can hardly walk about the last 2 miles but we pushed and we took the needed rest. It took us about 1 week to recover from sore muscles, blistered foot but it will only get better to the next 5 peaks ahead of us.

We are now more aware of what to expect and can prepare better. We only have water with us and we learned that while water is important, having an electrolyte drink can also help you a lot.

Fight on!
