This is the longest hike in the NorCal series, so it's definitely better to start as early as possible. We began around 7:40AM and made it to the top around 11:30/12:00. There were a variety of views, which were gorgeous and at the top you can see the Bay, as well as a lake. It was pretty hot, but we ended back at the beach and went for a swim in the water afterwards. PSA: The water is kind of cold.
This was a nice hike, but it was a little warm. Plus wildfire season has started up, so it's probably better to wait until the late fall or winter to do this hike. The best time of year would probably be spring or early summer due to daylight and weather.
