Trail conditions at Strawberry Peak was perfect. I left San Diego at 5am and arrived at the Re Box Picnic area parking lot at 645am. Lot was nearly empty. First 2.5 Miles was and easy walk on a well maintained trail. The trail I was on was well shaded along the ridge as the sun was on the other side.
The final 1.5 miles was brutal and beautiful at the same time. The killer incline rock scramble and beautiful views made it worth it. Some of these inclined trails seem intimidating but very doable.
