Hot hike up to the Mt Diablo summit. I took the Mt Diablo/Mitchell Canyon loop trail (13 miles total). A steep climb up to the summit and more relaxing gradient via the fire road down to the canyon.
I enjoyed a refreshing diet coke at the top, from the visitor center. Nice outlook at the summit and views of the surrounding area.
My second time climbing Mt Diablo. I'm sure I'll be back!
13 mile trail with over 3500ft of elevation gain in 5.5 hours.
