August 6th I started my way up to summit Mount Mansfield in Stowe, VT via the Eagles Cut Trail working counterclockwise where as the last couple times I did it clockwise. This would be my fifth summit for Six Pack of Peaks: New England in 2021.

Weather was warm but given the start time of my hike the temps dropped and ended up being a perfect time to hike. It did offer some nice views along the way up, once up on the ridge further up along the Long Trail and at the summit skies were hazy preventing you from seeing some of the most distant peaks. The summit offered 360 views and was welcomed by the setting sun. It was definitely more challenging but beautiful hike.

Definitely recommend this hike to others and worth the trip.
